In order to get the best results, we suggest the following:
- Good details (light/shadows)
- Photo should be in focus, if it's "soft" or blurry then there won't be enough detail to make a good portrait.
- Printed photos should be as large as possible (up to 8"x10"). However, a digital version of the photo would be preferable.
- For digital photos, send the highest resolution that you have (file size is not a problem).
- Try to crop the photo to just the head and shoulders (if possible).
Some things to avoid:
- Sharp lighting changes (eg. partial sunlight, or spots of light)
- Out of focus images
- Face is too small to see any details
- Incomplete faces (eg. top of the head is cut)
